I am a bargain shopper and often try to look for free or inexpensive and fun things to do with my one year old who absolutely thrives when he is exploring and adventuring. One of our favorite places continues to be one that I highly recommend - Funville Café at Chesapeake Square (they also have an alternate location).
Funville Playground has been exceptional from beginning to end each time that we have visited. Not only has the staff been friendly and helpful, it was inexpensive ($5 for unlimited play time for Liam), clean (for the most part), and had a variety of things that were age appropriate for Liam and the family at large. Liam still plays in the toddler area, but there are play areas for older kids. When we first visited, Liam was still fairly new to walking, but everything was padded and safe for clumsy tots. Three words to best describe our experience - unique, memorable, affordable.
Be sure to check it out! It may be one of the best $5 outings and the memories will be worth so much more. Stay tuned for some other fun bargain outings for you and your toddler!
Sometimes moms run on messy buns, sweatpants, and lots of coffee ... and that's ok!
I'm a twenty-something mom of a busy toddler who often finds normalcy in messy buns & sweatpants kinda days. I am here to write about laundry-folding epiphanies, mommy-mishaps, mommy-must haves and those no-good-at-Pinterest honest moments.
