Being a mom is about so much more than giving birth to a child.
Maybe you are adopting or considering being a foster mom. Maybe you recently lost your mom. Maybe you are wondering if you’ll ever get pregnant because you’ve been trying for years. Maybe you are a teacher who is investing in the lives of children who ARE YOUR children. You have maternal instincts and I encourage you to continue using them. I am sorry if Mother’s Day is one that grieves you, but: know that what you do and how you love makes a difference. Children today need our love. They need our encouragement. They need us to believe in them.
So, here’s to you – regardless of whether you have a miniature genetic version of you or you spend countless hours mentoring children with rough home lives — YOU MATTER and you are deeply, passionately loved by our Heavenly Father. You are treasured by the lives you touch. Please head on over to the Beautiful Chaos Blog to read the full post.
