You will never regret the time you choose to spend making memories.
I think one of the biggest lessons I’ve learned in motherhood thus far is that you don’t need a ton of money to invest in your child. They need our time, energy, and love. They need us to go out of our way to make memories. They need us to simply be there - physically and emotionally.
Liam teaches me so many things each and every day, including how beautiful it is to love. His nonstop hugs and kisses leave me feeling smitten and utterly thankful. Even though it often follows him throwing something at me. It’s a work in progress. We are enjoying this season of life and busily preparing for a new season on the horizon. But, for now, I want to enjoy every moment we have together.
This summer heat has led to many attempts at being creative with indoor play. When the weather is decent, we are definitely trying to take advantage of it. What about you?
How are are you managing the summer heat and what fun/creative things do you enjoy with your kids to create lasting memories (and hopefully a good night’s sleep for all involved)?
Liam is loving learning his colors and always wants to “cook!” He is a huge fan of reading books, playing at the park, running in the sprinkler and finding sticks!
In the rainy/hot weather, we played at Funville - Chesapeake Square and we made our first trip to the Children’s Museum! We’d love to hear your ideas of fun activities.
Sometimes moms run on messy buns, sweatpants, and lots of coffee ... and that's ok!
I'm a twenty-something mom of a busy toddler who often finds normalcy in messy buns & sweatpants kinda days. I am here to write about laundry-folding epiphanies, mommy-mishaps, mommy-must haves and those no-good-at-Pinterest honest moments.
